These terms apply when you book or attend an online consultation with New Life Clinic. By booking a consultation, you accept them. Please read them along with our privacy policy.
The service we provide
New Life Clinic provides online medical consultations conducted over WhatsApp video call by Dr. Tehlil Khan Pathan (BAMS, PGDEMS), General Physician. A consultation is a professional medical opinion based on what you tell and show the doctor during the call.
An online consultation cannot fully replace a physical examination. Where an in-person examination, investigation or specialist referral is needed, the doctor will tell you so.
Consultation hours
Consultations are conducted every day between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Messages and booking requests received outside these hours are answered and scheduled into the next day's slot.
Conditions that need immediate care
This service is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you or someone with you has chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, a serious injury, or any condition that needs urgent attention, go to the nearest hospital or call emergency services rather than waiting for an online consultation.
Booking a consultation
To book, send a message through the "Book on WhatsApp" button on this website. Before the call, please share your symptoms, relevant medical history and any test reports or previous prescriptions, so that the doctor can review them in advance.
Appointment times are indicative. If a consultation ahead of yours runs long, your call may be delayed slightly; we will keep you informed.
Fees and payment
The consultation fee is confirmed to you before the consultation begins. After the call, the doctor sends a UPI QR code on WhatsApp. Payment is made by scanning that code with any UPI application.
The prescription is issued once the payment is confirmed. Please make the payment promptly so that your treatment is not delayed.
Prescriptions
A prescription is issued at the doctor's professional discretion and only where it is clinically appropriate. Booking and paying for a consultation does not guarantee that a prescription, a particular medicine, or a medical certificate will be issued.
Certain categories of medicine cannot be prescribed through a teleconsultation under the rules that apply to registered practitioners in India. Where that is the case, the doctor will advise you on the alternative.
Please follow the prescription as written, complete the course, and contact us if you experience any reaction or if your symptoms worsen.
Your responsibilities
To keep the consultation safe and useful, you agree to:
- give accurate and complete information about your symptoms, history, allergies and current medication;
- share reports that belong to the patient being consulted;
- book one consultation per patient, rather than describing several people in one call;
- take the call from a place with a stable connection and reasonable privacy;
- not record, publish or circulate the consultation without the doctor's consent.
Advice given to you is meant for you alone. Please do not pass a prescription on to anyone else.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule by messaging us on WhatsApp before your slot. If a consultation cannot be completed because of a problem at our end, we will reschedule it at no additional cost or return the fee, whichever you prefer.
Fees are not refundable once the consultation has taken place, as the doctor's time and opinion have already been given.
Limits of our responsibility
The doctor provides her opinion in good faith, based on the information you supply and what can be observed on a video call. We are not responsible for outcomes that arise from information that was incomplete, inaccurate or withheld, from advice not being followed, or from a failure of your internet connection, device or a third-party service such as WhatsApp or your UPI application.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Third-party services
Consultations run on WhatsApp and payments run through UPI applications. Those services are operated by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, and their availability is outside our control.
