Your health information is private, and we treat it that way. This policy explains what we collect when you book an online consultation with New Life Clinic, why we collect it, and what we do to keep it safe.

Who we are

New Life Clinic is an online consultation service operated from New Life Clinic, Awasthi Chowk, SBI Building, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Consultations are provided by Dr. Tehlil Khan Pathan (BAMS, PGDEMS), General Physician.

We are responsible for the personal and health information you share with us in the course of booking and attending a consultation.

Information we collect

We only collect what is needed to give you a safe consultation:

  • Contact details — your name, WhatsApp number and, if you provide it, your email address.
  • Health information — the symptoms, medical history, allergies, current medication, test reports and photographs you choose to send us.
  • Consultation records — the date and time of your consultation and the prescription or advice issued to you.
  • Payment confirmation — the reference or screenshot confirming your UPI payment.

This website itself is a static page. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers and does not build a profile of your visit.

How we use your information

Your information is used to schedule your appointment, understand your medical condition, conduct the consultation, issue a prescription, confirm your payment and follow up on your treatment. We also keep consultation records to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to medical practitioners in India.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Consultations over WhatsApp

Booking, consultations, payment and prescriptions all take place on WhatsApp, which is a service provided by Meta and not by us. WhatsApp applies its own end-to-end encryption and its own privacy policy to your messages and calls, and we would encourage you to read it.

Anything you send in that chat is stored on your device and on the clinic's device. Please keep your own phone secured, and let us know if you would like a chat deleted from our side.

Payments

Consultation fees are paid by scanning a UPI QR code sent to you after the consultation. Your payment goes directly through your own UPI application to the clinic's bank account. We never see or store your card number, bank credentials, UPI PIN or one-time passwords.

When we share information

Your health information stays between you and your doctor. We share it only in these situations:

  • with a pharmacy, laboratory or another doctor, when you ask us to or when your treatment requires a referral;
  • where we are required to do so by law, a court order or a competent authority;
  • where sharing is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.

How long we keep it

Consultation records and prescriptions are retained for as long as the record-keeping rules applicable to registered medical practitioners require, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Booking messages that do not lead to a consultation are cleared periodically.

How we protect it

Consultation records are held on password-protected devices accessible only to the doctor and authorised clinic staff. Access is limited to the people who need it to provide your care. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your choices

You may ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the health information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your records, where we are not required to retain them;
  • stop contacting you for follow-ups.

Patients under 18

A patient under the age of 18 should attend the consultation with a parent or guardian, who provides consent and shares the information on the patient's behalf.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Please check back from time to time.
